Personal history

Baylor was the second eldest child in a family of six, born in a nondescript, impoverished village about 60 miles north of Manta. He hailed from common stock, without any notable lineage to speak of. To fend off hunger and poverty, Baylor resorted to theft in his youth, choosing to break away from the traditional family life in pursuit of a livelihood.   In the year 3002 RJ, Baylor settled in Manta, a bustling port town on the verge of war due to escalating military activities.   Not long after his arrival in Manta, a local Thieves' Guild known as "Derelict" extended an offer to Baylor: join their ranks or continue his solitary path. Baylor, driven by a fierce independence and the ambition to lead his own guild, remained a rogue.   Baylor honed his skills in the perilous Dragon’s Head Keep, situated southeast of Manta. It was at The Golden Griffon, a local tavern, that Baylor encountered The Shiield, an elite force loyal to the true Emperor of Tôp, Huron VI. The throne, however, was occupied by Haldron, widely regarded as a tyrant.   In this tavern, Baylor witnessed the fearsome might of Ambrellus Terzakian, or Terzak the Terrible, who, in a display of raw power, bisected the leader of the Black Rangers with his famed Ruby Axe.

Failures & Embarrassments

In his attempt to create his own thieves guild known as Triad Thieves' Guild (TTG), he failed when he was quickly absorbed by Tejak, a large criminal network headed by Mentaur.

Morality & Philosophy

In pursuing his ambitions, he hurts people along the way and pledges loyalty to those who would do him harm. He can be a poor judge of character at times, especially when he believes those people can help him to achieve his ambitions.

History

Baylor remembers Keesha Knight as a child. Baylor is older than Keesha, so during the few times Baylor met Keesha, it was only as a formality to show overt congeniality towards his cousin.   Since Keesha had grown up and became infamous in her career as a rogue, Baylor has contemplated reaching out to her throughout the years. While Baylor was creating a thieves' guild of his own, The Triad Thieves' Guild, he contemplated reaching out to her to help him build it, since Keesha was well known to be part of DMTG. Baylor ultimately refrained from reaching out to her, afraid that she might take over his operations instead.

Relationship Reasoning

Blood relatives (cousins). Baylor Thrasian's mother and Keesha Knight's mother are sisters.

Commonalities & Shared Interests

They are both rogues who have high ambition.

History

Mentaur met Baylor during an investigation of Baylor's activities of creating his thieves' guild, called Triad Thieves' Guild (TTG). Mentaur coerced Baylor into using TTG as a puppet organization to Tejak, and declared both Baylor and TTG as his "property"; Mentaur thus physically branded Baylor's chest wiith branding irons depicing Mentaur's personal sigil as well as TTG's sigil.

Nicknames & Petnames

Mentaur calls Baylor "Bay Bay", both a diminuation of his name and to ironically sound like he's calling him "baby", a disparaging nickname at best.

Relationship Reasoning

Mentaur curshed Baylor Thrasian's rising guild and used is as a "shell organization" to help launder and conceal Tejak's illicit activities.
