  Armor (scale mail), legendary (requires attunement by a non-evil creature)
  This magnificent armor is crafted from hundreds of freely-given fairy dragon scales arranged in an overlapping pattern reminiscent of both dragon hide and fey foliage. The scales shimmer with every color imaginable, constantly shifting in hue as light plays across their surface. The armor appears to move subtly even when still, as if breathing with its own life. When worn, it feels warm to the touch and surprisingly light, weighing half as much as normal scale mail.
  Legacy Item. The Scales of Transformation is a legacy item tied to the Sky Scales Clan of fairy dragons. This particular set was created specifically for Lysi'ander Vae'Khyll by Zephyr's family as a token of gratitude and kinship. While others might attune to similar armor if it existed, this specific set resonates most powerfully with Lev.
  Basic Properties
• While wearing this armor, you gain a +2 bonus to AC. You are considered proficient with this armor even if you lack proficiency with medium armor.
• The armor imposes no disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks despite being medium armor.
• You gain resistance to force and psychic damage while wearing this armor.
• You can speak, read, and write Draconic if you couldn't already.
  Awakened Powers
  After attuning to the armor for 24 hours, the following abilities become available:
  Fairy Dragon Magic. You can cast the following spells using your spell save DC (or Intelligence 17, whichever is higher). Once you cast a spell using this feature, you cannot cast that specific spell again until you complete a short or long rest:
  • Dancing Lights (at will)
• Minor Illusion (at will)
• Color Spray (3/day)
• Invisibility (1/day)
• Major Image (1/day)
  Wings of the Sky Scales. As a bonus action, you can manifest shimmering, butterfly-like wings from the armor. These wings grant you a flying speed of 40 feet. You can dismiss the wings as a bonus action. The wings can be used for up to 1 hour per day, divided as you choose in 1-minute increments.
  Euphoric Breath. You gain a breath weapon usable once per short rest. As an action, you can exhale a 15-foot cone of euphoria gas. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or be incapacitated with fits of laughter for 1 minute. An affected creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
  Fairy Dragon Resilience. You have advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.
  Exalted Powers
  After performing a significant deed that benefits fairy dragons or the natural world, and after being attuned to the armor for at least 7 days, the following abilities become available:
  Complete Transformation. As an action, you can transform into a fairy dragon of the same size category as yourself. This transformation functions as the polymorph spell, but with the following differences:
  • You retain your Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma scores
• You retain your class features and proficiencies
• You can speak normally while transformed
• Your coloration is unique, displaying all the iridescent hues of the armor
• The transformation lasts for up to 1 hour, or until you use a bonus action to revert to your normal form
• You can use this ability once per long rest
  Prismatic Shield. As a reaction when you or a creature within 5 feet of you is targeted by an attack, you can cause the scales to flash with brilliant, multicolored light. The attacker must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or be blinded until the end of its next turn. On a successful save, the attacker has disadvantage on its attack roll. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
  Enhanced Euphoria. Your Euphoric Breath becomes more potent. The save DC increases to 17, and on a failed save, the target must roll a d8 at the start of each of its turns to determine its behavior for that turn: 1-4: The creature takes no action and uses all its movement to move in a random direction. 5-6: The creature doesn't move or take actions. 7-8: The creature uses its action to make a melee attack against a randomly determined creature within its reach. If there is no creature within its reach, the creature does nothing.
  Dormant State and Recall
  The Scales of Transformation can exist in a dormant state, appearing to meld into the wearer's skin and disappear completely. While dormant, the armor grants no benefits but remains attuned. As a bonus action, you can cause the armor to emerge from or return to this dormant state.
  If you die while attuned to the Scales of Transformation, the armor automatically returns to its dormant state and cannot be removed by ordinary means. After 7 days, if no resurrection has occurred, the armor dissolves into motes of light and returns to the nearest living member of the Sky Scales Clan.
  Curse
  The Scales of Transformation carries a subtle curse born of its fairy dragon origin. While attuned to the armor, you develop an insatiable curiosity and an occasional mischievous streak. You must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw to avoid investigating particularly interesting phenomena, especially those of a magical or mysterious nature. Additionally, during times of celebration or revelry, you must succeed on a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw to resist playing a harmless but embarrassing prank on someone who takes themselves too seriously.
  Scaling for Higher Levels
As the wearer grows in power and strengthens their bond with the armor, additional abilities may manifest:
  Level 11-16: The armor's AC bonus increases to +3. The duration of the Complete Transformation ability extends to 2 hours, and you can now use it twice per long rest
Level 17+: The armor grants immunity to force and psychic damage rather than resistance. You can now maintain the Wings of the Sky Scales indefinitely, and your flying speed increases to 60 feet. Additionally, once per long rest, you can cast
Prismatic Spray (save DC 17) without expending a spell slot.
  Lore
  The creation of Scales of Transformation armor is an ancient and sacred practice among fairy dragon clans, undertaken only once or twice in a generation. The process requires scales freely given from every member of the clan, each containing a fragment of their magic and memories.
  The scales must be collected over years during the natural molting cycles of the dragons, then carefully preserved in special solutions derived from rare Feywild flora. The actual crafting takes a full lunar cycle, during which the entire clan participates in continuous spellcasting, weaving together magic from both draconic and fey traditions.
  Historically, these armors were created only for the most legendary of allies—those who had performed services for fairykind that could never be repaid through conventional means. Fewer than a dozen such armors are known to have been crafted throughout history, and they are considered among the most sacred treasures of fairydragon culture.
  The Sky Scales Clan's gift to Lysi'ander Vae'Khyll marks the first time in over a millennium that such an honor has been bestowed upon a member of the Seelie Court, symbolizing a profound bond between the Winter Prince and the fairy dragon clan that transcends traditional boundaries between species and courts.
