I've been a fan of Nehwon and Lankhmar since the boxed set came out in the 80's. Flash-forward 35 years later, I still run all my campaigns in this world. In the past year, I've been steadily digitizing all of my works: maps, concepts, session reports, etc onto my World Anvil site. While Nehwon isn't an uber-popular campaign setting, I thought I'd share my world with anyone who is a fan. In these 35 years, I've expanded upon and modified Leiber's concept of Nehwon, making my version of his world a semi-customized homebrew iteration. So for anyone interested, you're welcome to use my world, maps, and info as you'd like. Feel free to like/comment on any articles as I welcome feedback, and follow my world for updates as I continue my slow but steady upload of my notes into the platform.

Personal history

Matteu grew up in the southeast of Nehwon to his two parents, Larinn, his mother, and his father Vilren. His father was a part of the Thieves Guild much to his mother's disapproval. While he had a lot of money growing up it wasn't "safe" money as most of it had been stolen and their wealth was based on thievery.

When Matteu was five years old, his mother disappeared. No one knows where she went, or why she left. She left taking nothing with her. After this, Matteu's father began to get greedier with his thievery. At the age of thirteen, Matteu's father proposed a huge job. Although it was a very risky scheme, Matteu finally agreed. During the operation, his father, blinded by greed, made a careless mistake and was caught by local law enforcement. Matteu was able to escape but his father was arrested. Matteu does not know his father's fate, whether he was sentenced to death or if he was imprisoned.

To this day he does not know his mother or father's whereabouts.
