Dustriders

Gravity Well

5-level Abjuration

Casting Time: 1 Action
Range/Area: 30 ft. Radial Sphere
Components: Verbal, Somatic, Material
Materials: Meteorite Core
Duration: Concentration, Up to 1 Minute
Attack/Save: Dexterity Saving Throw
Damage/Effect: Gravitational Pull
You bring your two hands together and form a fist with each, then pull them apart, then bring them back together. A black orb appears at a point you can see, 10 feet off the ground. Dust begins to swirl around it, and a warbling sound slowly grows.   All targets and objects that aren't somehow anchored to the ground in the area fall towards the center and are suspended in the air when you cast this spell. A target can make a Dexterity saving throw to grab onto a fixed object it can reach, thus avoiding the fall towards the center. Once airborne, any targets that are suspended by the gravity well orbit the gravity well's center, moving 5 feet inwards after each orbit, and make a half rotation around the center each turn.   If some solid object (such as a wall) is encountered in this fall, falling objects and creatures strike it just as they would during a normal downward fall. If an object or target reaches the middle, they take falling damage equal to 1d6 times the number of turns they spent in the gravity well without saving.   At the end of the duration, affected objects and targets are launched in one of four directions. Roll a 1d4 for each affected target. 1 is North, 2 is East, 3 is South, and 4 is West. Launch the targets each 10 feet multiplied by your Spellcasting Modifier, plus the radius of the Gravity Well.
At higher levels: The radius of the gravity well increases by 5 feet for each spell level it is cast at above 5th.
