You create a small spike from your own blood, taking 1d6 necrotic damage, and launch it at a target within 30 ft. Make a ranged spell attack roll against the target, dealing 4d6 piercing damage on a hit. After the initial attack, the spike remains, hovering in the air under your control and occupying the same space as the target creature.

Beginning on your next turn, as a bonus action, you may move the spike up to 15 ft. and repeat the attack against another creature within 30 ft. of you. If at any point, the spike misses, you can no longer see it, or it is no longer within 30 ft. of you, you lose control over it and the spell ends.

Plasma Enhancement: You may expend Plasma to extend the range of the spell. For each 1 point of Plasma you expend, the spike's maximum distance from you increases by 10 ft. This does not increase the attack range of the spike.

At higher levels:

When you cast this spell using a 5th-level spell slot, the damage of the skewer increases by 2d6.
