Wrapping zimself in an elder day cloak of life-transferring energy originally manifested by the cruel Nagai Dynasty, whenever the necromancer is hit with a melee attack, the attacker must make a charisma save or take 3d8 necrotic damage and the necromancer regains hit points equal to half the amount of damage dealt. On a succesful save, the attacker only takes half damage and the necromancer does not regain any hit points.

At higher levels: At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the damage increases by 1d8 for each slot level higher than 5th.
