The knight commander of the Amazonian Knights, a silver haired woman with brown skin named Haiku Ironstorm, and one of her most trusted knight captains Millia Stormgrain, a bright blue haired woman and daughter of Duke Stormgrain, are sitting on the bayside docks of the Knight District enjoying some fishing. Haiku asks "Haiku asks "Millia. I probably shouldn't asks on a day off, But how is Baroness Palemare coming along." Millia bluntly states "Pretty sure we would have better luck training a mindless shikibane." Haiku winces "so it's gotten worse then." Millia shakes her head "don't get me wrong. She's incredibly strong. Like I didn't know someone could be that incredibly strong naturally, and she's proven to be a very skilled warrior and mage. But, So far she struggles with teamwork and gets frustrated when others don't do behave the way she wants them to in exercises which is compounded by the fact she thinks her tactics are the best even when they clearly aren't. Her teammates also seem afraid of her which I swear she likes. I was hoping it would get better but it hasn't. In fact in our earlier silence I was considering requesting we discharge Rena. I also starting writing a letter to father to request he push an investigation into the Palemare Barony. All we heard from there was how great she is but we haven't seen anything of the sort so far since she came." Haiku nods "It is hard to beleive not a single rumor about the behavior we have seen would come of that barony. Not even from traveling merchants. Makes me wonder if the reports of the inns there not needing knights might also have been a mistake to listen too..." 

They both hear distant footsteps causing Millia to look behind her and sees a blond woman approaching them while dragging a black haired man behind her. Millia faces forward again and whispers "Speak of the devil and she shall come dragging Jack behind her. Change that considering to a kick her ass out" Haiku slumps. Once she was close enough Rena says "Lady Millia. Knight Commander. I wish to make a formal request to change my team." Haiku inquires "Why?" Rena drops Jack and says "Because this loser is dragging my team down. He can't follow my brilliant tactics, not to mention how weak he is. He couldn't even scratch me." Both Millia and Haiku begin to look behind them. Millia starts asking "why would he..." upon seeing jack's mangled body she shouts "...BY THE SPIRITS!" Millia switches to a kneeling position and begins casting healing magic to stabilize jack saying "you are going to be ok Jack." He could only groan in response. Haiku yells at Rena "What in the hells is wrong with you!?!" Rena bears a look of genuine confusion "what do you..." She looks down at Jack then back at Haiku and says "ah. You misunderstand. He tried to attack me when I decided to make my request. I simply punished him so you wouldn't have to." Haiku blinked. Momentarily dumbstruck by Rena's statement. How has NONE of her people complained at all? Haiku recollects herself "You call that punishment? You beat him within an inch of his life! Not to mention you can't honestly think we'd beleive a trainee with his demeanor would attack you. You'd have to be crazy to think that woul..."

The sound of Rena's slapping Haiku's face ringed through the air. Rena starts yelling " I WILL NOt tolerate...a filthy...comm..." her voice trails off as she is covered in the shadow of the now standing 11'5" Haiku. Haiku says down to her an edge creeping into her voice "Go ahead. Hit me again." Rena swallows "n-now think carefully. I am the only one fit enough to fun Palemare. Afterall they love me and since when has my region been so prosperous or safe? In fact..." Just as Haiku was about to lose her temper completely she hears Millia yell "Have a drink bitch!!" as Millia grabs Rena and hurls the screaming Rena into the bay. Haiku turns around and blinks. She shakes her head "Get jack to the infirmary once you finish stabilizing him. I'll go track down Rena." Millia continues to stabilize jack saying "Worth it." They couldn't have known that Millia's impulsive action would bring about the yakshabane.
