Grave Digger is a formidable magical weapon forged from dark, enchanted metal and inscribed with necrotic runes that lit up when used. In its unactivated state, it appears as a heavy, grim shovel—a tool once used for digging graves. With a command, the shovel’s edges magically extend and reshape into a fearsome greataxe, channeling the corrupt energies of death.

Switchable Forms:

Shovel Form: Functions as a mundane digging shovel.
Axe Form: Using a bonus action, you can command the weapon to transforms into a greataxe. In this form, it deals 1d4 slashing damage and 1d8 necrotic damage on a hit.

Reconstruction:

Once per day, as an action, you can channel the weapon’s necromantic power to cast Animate Dead as a 3rd-level spell. The undead you create obey your commands until they are dismissed or destroyed.
